The heart of all MOV'IT Performance Braking Systems is the patented two-part calliper, milled from high coated, high tensile pieces of airplane aluminium. The longish design of the caliper allows for a maximized disc size, and leads to increased stiffness and a bigger contact area of the pad. The vehicle specific and progressive piston arrangement allows for an exactly equal contact pressure. This results in an equal heat transfer, reduced system temperature and enhanced durability of all wear parts.
Other important parts of the MOV'IT Brake Callipers are the MOV'IT® CROWN System, and the MOV'IT® RAPAD-X System, which allows for a quick pad exchange, without having to remove the caliper from it's fitting.
MOV'IT® Performance Brake Discs are the result of a lengthy process. Initially they are cast, and then thermally hardened for several hours afterwards. That is followed by a finishing process, within which each cast hole is being redrilled and counters inked. The inner part of the disc contains the highly efficient MOV'IT® DDE™ System. This double directional evolving ventilation system offers a larger surface, which is the basis for the extreme heat absorption and transfer abilities. The discs therefore stay much cooler than other discs of the same size.

Producing Ceramic Brake rotors is usually done in a cost-effective way. Friction layers of approx. 0,5 mm thickness are bond to a silicon carbid core which is reinforced by short carbon fibbers. This way to design a ceramic brake rotor entails some disadvantages, e.g. low thermal conductivity, little thermal capacity and poor material integrity. The result is a poor fading stability, high temperatures, excessive wear and high mechanical damage sensitivity.
In years of intensive research MOV'IT® succeeded in developing the highly sophisticated production technique CCF™ (Crossed Continuous Fibre) that allows overcoming those disadvantages ceramic brakes show in comparison to brakes made of cast iron and – at the same time – combines the advantages of both materials. Polyacrylonitrile fibre sheets are needeled together and generate a perform. The future rotors are then cut out of this perform and experience various treatments. After the final treatment, a complex high rate silicon infiltration, the MOV'IT®-CER rotor is finished. The CCF™ system guarantees high thermal conductivity, superior thermal capacity and a homogeneous material structure combined with the low weight of the carbon-silicon-carbid material.
